Kenny K Singer Card

What a lovely weekend we have had - nice bright sunny weather (if a bit chilly in the shade) and I've had time for a bit of crafting. Made this card over the weekend for a friend I get the train with who is a singer in an am-dram club. I think she'll like it. These Kenny K images are quite hard to colour, but considering I'm still quite 'green' as colouring goes I don't think I've done too bad!

made with papers from DCWV, HOTP and First Edition Love Letters. Dovecraft ribbon and printed sheet music image from the internet (coloured with chalks). Image is coloured with both Spectrum Noir and Promarker pens. A few gems, flowers and a peel off added. Die cuts are spellbinders.

Looking forward to doing some more colouring!!

Ballerina Birthday Card

Well the weather is still freezing cold, so I've kept myself warm in Crafty Corner. Tonight I've finished off the birthday card for my Niece, Lilly, who is 5 in March. She has just started to have ballet lessons so thought I would choose this as a theme for her card. Image is a digistamp from Nitwits 'Tippy Toes' coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and highlighted with Starburst Stickles. Backing card is from Core d'inations and the papers are from the new Papermania Capsule by Jesse Edwards. 1 ribbon is from Dovecraft and the other is from my local cake shop (buy quite a few ribbons from there - half a meter at a time, bargain - from around 25p each!). The flowers are also from Papermania and highlighted with Stardust stickles. Die cuts are Spellbinders. Added a few pearl gems, peel offs and a ballerina metal charm.

Hope she likes it :0)

Brent is back on nights for the rest of the week - so lets see what else I can create!

Well the Snow finally arrived overnight :0( - at least Saren likes it, she was having a great time chasing after snowballs in the garden. Me I haven't set a foot outside all day!

So looking forward to trying to get to work tomorrow when the snow has turned to ice - not!

Forever Friends Great News Congratulations Card

Hello everyone

Went to Bluewater yesterday afternoon and went to the Creative Stitches and Hobbycraft event. Unfortunately, Brent was a bit bored and so I did't quite get as long as I would have liked there looking around and I only spent £7.00 - I so could have spent this 10 times over! Never mind. The show is on again in September - handily over my birthday weekend so I'm planning to go again then with my crafty buddy Karen, I'll be able to spend this time.

Still when I got back I was in crafty mode and so made this card for my friend that is starting a new job and has passed his training course this week. Made with Forever Friends decoupage, Dovecraft paper, card embossed using a Darice embossing folder, Dovecraft ribbon and a few gems.

Also finished my Forever Friends Design team card for March (can't post till March I'm afraid!) as it snowed overnight and didn't want to go out!

Going to be fun getting to work tomorrow - not!

Beer Pump & Glass Card

Unfortunately, the Other Half had to spend another night in Liverpool so I spent another night in Crafty Corner - what a shame!!

Made this card this evening - I've left off the sentiment at the moment as I'm not sure who it is going to be for. I've got quite a few male cards to make this year including retirements, birthdays and not forgetting Father's Day later in the year.

I've made this card using the Personal Impressions Beer Pump and Glass stamp, highlighted areas of the glass and the pump with glossy accents. Backing paper is from Tim Holtz Core'dinations Nostalgic Collection and Life's a Ball! paper from Graphic 45 Playtimes Past collection. Ribbon from stash and Bo Bunny gems.
